Hoosier Pie, also known as Sugar Cream Pie is an Indiana tradition originating from the 19th century. It is known as a "desperation" pie, the kind of dessert you could make on a farm when you didn't have fresh fruit on hand. If you're a Hoosier and haven't tried it yet, get on board. It is our state pie, after all.
